MIT promotes good teaching

I went to MIT today to talk about the programs we’re developing for the Cross-Sector Partnership, to help doctoral students and recent PhDs learn to teach at teaching-intensive institutions.

Lots of folks at this research-driven institution are committed to developing good teachers, too. Take a look at the Paths of Professorship program, for women grad students.  And the Teaching Certificate Program helps to get MIT PhDs ready for the classroom.
As we prepare for the next Teaching at Teaching-Intensive Institutions event in the fall, we will be sure to be in touch with the folks at the Teaching and Learning Lab at MIT.  We want the Cross-Sector Partnership to offer teaching training beyond what can be offered on the doctoral campuses.

We’d like to bring doctoral students and postdocs to our teaching-intensive campuses.

Get to know us and our students. If teaching is what you love, we’re the places for you.
